Businesses of every type need a business plan. Don’t think you can skip by on this important step because you offer a service instead of a physical product. Every business can benefit from a business plan.
Keywords are the terms your ideal client is plugging into Google or another search engine when she needs an answer. “Life coach in Alberta” and “business coach for virtual assistants” and “how to upload a book to Kindle” are all examples of keywords.
Knowing the keywords you’d like to be known for is critical for attracting “organic” traffic to your site, but that’s only one part of the equation. You also have to use your keywords strategically.
Writing the vision for your business should be fun, I think so.
When I began my solo private practice in 2013, I had no clue what I was doing. I didn’t know how to get on insurance panels and I certainly didn’t know anything about starting a business. - Does your coach take an interest in your work and your practice or is it all about what they have done?
- Does your coach add value or push you to dig deeper? Does your coach stretch you beyond your limit?
- Is your coach flexible? Can you reach them outside of your coaching sessions if you have any questions?
If your answer to any of these questions is no, you may want to consider this relationship. After all, you are paying for a service, shouldn’t it be the quality you deserve.
